DSB clients often wonder if it is possible to delegate a part of finishing works to another contractor.
The problem of finishing works can be simply stated as following: the results of preliminary works can be observed only indirectly, and customers tend to spend on them as little resources as they can. Such situation is common even for wall-papering. At first, it sounds reasonable as with saved resources it is possible to buy more expensive wallpaper or additional accessories.
However, the desire to cut costs by hiring a few contractors often focusing only on a more favorable price leads to missing the fact that future workers do not always appreciate the previously done job and do not feel responsible for the final result.
SSuch “advantageous” contractor performs its part of the job on the basis of knowingly limited funds without counting on further cooperation. In this case it is simply naïve to expect a good quality of repair works. The third-party contractor will not comment on the time frame or on the necessary sequence of work, even if it would be more reasonable to explain the risks and benefits of a particular decision.
In a hurry or careless work on the wallpaper may remain prints, which sometimes cannot be removed.
Every contractor may have different approaches and methods of performing works. New team installing electrical accessories, lamps and doors could easily damage or ruin earlier completed finishing works.
Not on purpose, but simply doing their part of the job, without regard to the time spent and the work of the previous contractor.
Only when single contractor is responsible for finishing works, it monitors the entire process and warns employees about various details.
When choosing single contractor, you solve several problems at once by saving your time and avoiding various troubles (disputes, disagreements, attempts to shuffle responsibility) that can arise during the work of unrelated organizations. However DSB will be happy to take on the role of an experienced contractor in finishing works of any complexity.
